Hello Everyone, I have been trying out some different makeup looks last week and this week and been posting on my Instagram page Georginalongmakeup would appreciate it if you can follow my page! Let me know that you read my blog and I’ll give you a follow! For the products I use check out my post on Instagram.
I have been using various palettes to come up with one eyeshadow look. Makeup Revolution palette are great to use if your starting of creating looks or if you want to build yourself a makeup collection. Their palettes are great quality and only £4 at Superdrug.com
Beautybay.com have makeup geek eyeshadow pans which are about £6. I purchase a few of these from time to time and are great to use with palettes. I want to try out white eyeliner, I think it’s the new trend and love the way it looks with eyeshadow.
Hello Everyone, I have create a pink smokey eye look using the Huda beauty mauve makeup obsessions palette and a makeup geek eyeshadow. I love these two brands and they have such great pigmentation to their eyeshadows.

I haven’t used a pink eyeshadow in a while and wanted create a makeup look which stood out a bit more. I think it’s really important to have a blending brush when using bright or dark colours this will even it out and get rid of harsh lines. You can get some amazing brushes at beautybay.com
I love using false eyelashes when using eyeshadow, it gives my eye a nice look and puts everything together, I always use a pencil or liner to create a wing and like using a pencil in my water line.
Thank you for reading. I hope you like this makeup look💄🎨👄
Hello Everyone, Today I wanted to share with you some great false eyelashes that I would recommend. I normally wear false eyelashes if I am going on a night out, a meal or for special occasions. I think they can really make your eyes stand out and can put a whole eye look together. I have a different range of Lashes from natural to full and wispy. Some lashes I have purchased are around £20 and lashes that are little as £4 and are just as good! It all depends on what style you like and what suits you best.
My go-to lashes would be Lily Lashes in the style GODDESS. I adore these lashes, they have a nice full wispy effect and are perfect for all eye shapes. I would defiantly use these lashes if I am creating a dramatic glam makeup look. I personally cut my lashes to fit my eye as they can be too long, making my eye appear droopy looking. I make sure to cut the end of the false lashes where the longer hairs are as this blends better with your own lashes. I am wearing the Goddess eyelashes in the featured image on this blog post.
Seen on stars like Khloe Kardashian the Goddess lash is every girls go to daytime lash. If natural glam is your go-to style these lashes are definitely for you. Mimicking a natural lash formation, the Goddess Luxury Mink Lashes accentuate all eye shapes creating a wispy look. The unique criss-cross pattern works to blend seamlessly with your natural hairs for effortlessly flawless beauty. – Lily Lashes
Lily lashes are around the £20 mark, If you’re looking for something more cheaper and still great quality I would like to share with you a pair of lashes by the House Of Lashes in the style siren, costing £12. I love these lashes as they are not too full but still give a dramatic look. Perfect lashes if you want to show off your eyeshadow and fit all eye shapes. 100% handmade using human hair so will blend perfectly with your natural lashes!
If your looking for great lashes under £5 then I have found the most lovely lashes, I have purchased many pairs over the last few years and never fail to please me. These lashes are by Red Cherry Lashes in the style WISPY, costing only £4.99! They are super easy to apply and work well with any glue and are bendable. I prefer lashes that are bendable as they are so much easier to apply and I do not have to fuss about trying to stick them down. The lash glue brand I use is Duo, a great glue that dries quickly and keeps the lashes on all day but of course, I do bring the glue out with me just in case, better to be safe than sorry lol.
For more of a natural look, if I do decide to wear lashes in the day, I love Ardell Accent Lashes, these are £4.49 and lashes that I apply to the ends of my own lashes, these create an elongated eye for me and enhance your own lashes showing off the natural beauty of your eyes! I am wearing these lashes shown in the image below.
Here are a few more eyelashes that I have used & that I wear abroad.
If you are looking for that perfect glue, I have attached a link below where I purchase my DUO Glue. (CLICK HERE)

Today I wanted to share with you a makeup look which I think is perfect for work or school.
If you fancy changing up your everyday look I think a dark/bright lip colour than what you normally go for is fun idea.
I love using a soft brown eyeshadow when I have a dark lip on just because I don’t want to look too over the top for in the day. But it’s what ever best works for you!!
I love using my Gerard cosmetics lipstick in the colour fire engine. This is such a pretty colour and can really put an outfit together! This lipstick is moisturising and smells lovely.
When wearing a red lip, I think a cut crease eye look is great, it gives you a classy look and is great for all occasions.
I have came across a great eyeshadow which I think will go well with a red lip, it is matte and will give your eyelid a contoured look which will add definition.
This eyeshadow is in the colour bake sale by makeup geek, I swear by this brand as I know I am going to get good quality eyeshadows!
To keep the eyes natural I would just add a mascara, I use my Dior DiorShow. This is a lovely mascara and gives my lashes a nice length.
To add a nice glow I would recommend Becca cosmetics highlighter, this is very popular and this product is on various online beauty websites. I am using Gerard Cosmetics highlighter in the colour grace in the picture above.
Hi Loves, I thought I would share with you my best and worst foundations that I have, hope this can help you if you are looking for a new foundation to buy. I always like to research about a cosmetic product before purchasing, especially foundations as they can be expensive.
My favourite foundations are Too Faced – Born this way, Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Foundation & Dior Forever Foundation. All three foundations have a lovely coverage and do not clog my pores and cause me to have breakouts. I love using a damp beauty blender or a kabuki brush to apply foundation, these two items avoid blotches and makes the product easy to blend.
Born this way foundations gives a nice full coverage and I like to use this foundation if I am going out where photos are going to be taken, the foundation is long lasting which is beneficial if you don’t get any time to top up your makeup.
Chanel velvet foundation has a nice sheer coverage and makes my skin look healthy and glowing. I love using this makeup on holiday or during the day as its light weight and smell fresh. I use this foundation everyday and apply tiny bit of concealer under the eyes and a bronzer on my cheekbones to finish off my everyday look.
Dior forever foundation is a full coverage foundation, it is build-able if you want to hide any imperfections, I love this foundation and try to make it last lol, I tend to use this when I am going on a night out/meal. This foundation gives you a nice smooth complexion and long lasting!
Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation Stick has some down falls for me, I love the sheer look it gives to the skin, it hides any imperfections and stays on all day but my problem with this foundation is that it makes my skin look to oily at times. Also this foundation can give me breakouts as it is such a think foundation, I feel it clogs my pores and is quite heavy on my skin. I would recommend this foundation if your skin is dry and looking for a foundation which will hydrate your skin and not make it appear more dry.
I have to say, I am not a big fan of Charlotte tilbury Magic foundation. I purchased this product a few months ago as I saw many great reviews, I thought I would try this product out myself. I found the foundation to be really dry on the skin and hard to blend. It was not applying on smooth and I like an easily blend-able foundation. I suppose this foundation would be perfect for someone who has really oily skin. I have combination skin so finding a foundation that is not too oily and not too dry is important to me.
Mac studio Fix foundation was not great for me, I found this foundation to feel so heavy on my face and gave me breakouts, Sadly I had to get rid of this foundation as it was just not working with my skin. I think this foundation is great for photoshoots and to hide blemishes. I found this foundation was also to thick and hard to blend for me. I purchased the wrong colour and did not match my skin tone, I think it is a good idea to go in a MAC store so one of the makeup artists can help match the foundation to your skin tone, I may try this sometime and find more of a light weight foundation of theirs.
I am currently obsessed with Dior Forever Foundation at the moment, it is a perfect foundation for when you have imperfections or for when your skin is going through a break out.
This foundation has a nice coverage and is brilliant for shine control! Dior Forever is long lasting so I don’t have to worry about re applying. I do like to apply a primer whenever I have skin breakouts just to make sure the makeup lasts through out the day.
The colour shade I have – 020.
This shade is great for me this time of year, I am happy with this purchase and would recommend if you are looking for a high end Foundation. I am very careful with what foundation to buy when it comes to my skin as I like to prevent breakouts from happening. I have been using another foundation recently which caused a few imperfections and now decided to get rid of it. I have a few high end foundations just because they work well with my skin and I find they don’t clog my pores. This product costs £35 which I think is not bad if you want to invest in a luxury foundation, my one has lasted for a while now and have no complaints.
At the end of the day when taking off my makeup, I like to use Johnson’s Makeup Be Gone (Sensitive) Wipes. These wipes have a lot of moisture in them and make my skin feel light. I also like to use a serum cleanser when washing my face and I find serums to be more moisturising.
For everyday makeup I try to keep it as natural as possible but I can’t help to add eyeshadow, I like using a brown colour as it makes my eye colour pop and still looks natural looking. I like to add a lipstick, I use MAC Velvet Teddy and Spice Lip Liner, I think they are a great combination to use.
For eyeshadow I used Gwen Stefani Urban Decay Palette. I applied Blonde all over my lid as a base and then took my crease brush and applied the colour zone and blended that into my crease. The colours in this palette are just fantastic and really pigmented. I like to use my MAC FIX + spray and apply this on my brush, this makes the eyeshadow pop and last longer. I have had this palette for some time now and I always use it. They have a variety of colours so I never get bored of using this. I applied Mascara and eyeliner to finish off my eye look.
For foundation I like to use my Born This Way Foundation by TooFaced, It has a great coverage and is great for all skin types. I have combination skin, which is oily around my T-zone and dry everywhere else on my face. For moisturiser I use my Manuka Doctor Gold Dust Firming Serum, this gives me a gorgeous glow and keeps my skin hydrated.
